Wooin Hong

Wooin Hong(b.1996) investigates the points where an object-conditioning structure stops being reduced to a unitary meaning or scene. She mainly dislocates the connection between image, text and sound to experiment with incoherent relationships, and incites a delay of interpretation resulting from the gap as an entry point into the work. Recently, she has focused on the way the city renders the landscape as a romantic image. She thereby constructs devices that intervene with the structure as well as the context of this polished image.
